Physical Therapy Session

INJURY REHABILITATION

At your initial consultation, a thorough assessment will be carried out including a detailed history of the complaint and physical examination.  The findings of which will be explained to you with an individualised treatment plan agreed between yourself and the therapist. All aspects of the assessment will be discussed in full to provide you with the information required to consent to all stages of the treatment and plan.

Common injuries include muscle strains, back pain, ligamentous injuries, frozen shoulder, to name a few.

Follow up appointments would also be discussed to continue any treatment required and to progress your plan to achieve your recovery goals.

SPORTS MASSAGE

A deep tissue massage which:

  • Reduces muscle tension, stiffness and stress on the joints.

  • Decreases muscle spasm to reduce pain:

  • Realigns scar tissues and loosens adhesions

  • Increases blood flow supplying oxygen and nutrients to the tissues

  • Removes waste products

  • Stimulates or soothes nerves

  • Improves confidence in sporting performance and ability

Massage is widely used by the athletic population for a variety of purposes such as injury prevention, recovery from fatigue, relaxation, and to increase performance ( Hemmings, 2001).

However, you don't have to play sport to benefit from a sports massage. If you are just looking for a deep tissue massage for back neck and shoulder pain, this popular treatment is also offered.

Bookings taken for 30mins, 45 minutes and 1 hour appointments.

Acupuncture

ACUPUNCTURE & DRY NEEDLING

Acupuncture is a holistic healing practice that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to promote natural pain relief. This ancient technique helps to stimulate the body’s energy flow, known as Qi, and can effectively alleviate various types of pain, including chronic back pain, migraines, and joint discomfort. Many patients report a reduction in pain and an overall sense of well-being following treatment.
